why the heck not

OK. So I have discovered that any ol' somebody with an ability to type can start up a blog. At the moment, I don't have a lot to dicuss, but that also doesn't appear to be an issue for anyone else with a blog. There are blogs on everything, including nothing, which is what you will find here until I can think of something more interesting to write about.

In the meantime, I'll go home and start downloading some crap to make the page more visually appealing while listing to my husband laugh his ass off that I actually started a blog.

In the future, we'll cover such topics as my job as a social worker with Child Protective Services, our second try at IVF, living in an apartment while we wait for our new house to be completed, and (I hope) in the future, the family can check out pictures of our children. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

So for now I'm just typing to myself (as opposed to talking to myself ha ha ha) and trying to think of what to say next. I guess we'll find out together - we being me, myself, and I until I actually tell someone I am starting a blog or someone else happens to stumble upon it!

Ha! You aren't just talking to yourself, so you'd better get cracking and figure out what to write. Um, not that I've posted anything in our blog in ever so long....
How did I get here since I don't even know you? I ran across your comment about Baby's First Tartan on your SIL's blog (got there somehow from another blog relating to adopting from China) and I LOVED your title ideas for your blog! Especially OCDecorator. Write that! (Oh, hey, there's a book you could review slightly on this topic also: Interior Desecration, by James Lileks--real 70s decorating ideas--scary!) So imagine my surprise when I saw you'd actually started a blog! You need a new profile now, though!

Seriously, good luck with IVF. Really, tons of babydust and all that. I really, really hope it works for you. I went 2 rounds myself and called it quits, and that was after at least 2 ectopics and 2 miscarriages too early to tell. I was so ready to get off that train and onto being a Mama, dammit! So we adopted from China a little over a year ago and she is wonderful! Well, okay, not always, as she's 2 1/2 in 4 days, but being her mama is pretty darned cool. So, I really wish that for everyone else who wants it. (And no babies for those that don't want them, dammit!) I have a lot of friends for whom IVF worked great, so don't let me be your example.

Anyway, nice "meeting" you. I'm sure you think I'm a total nutter, and I really do have better things to do, but...
